For each database, a record layout is available, as well as code sheets, when they are required. You can also download a 100-record data sample from each database. More about the Database Library
Note: This Web application shows all datasets in the library which can currently be sold on-demand. It does not include all datasets for sale, period. - Only IRE Members can purchase data from this site. Non-members who aggressively attempt to purchase data (i.e., try multiple times) will be blocked.
- Databases in the NICAR collection are not meant to be handled by a spreadsheet manager like Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc. They are large, relational databases. We recommend using a database manager like MS Access, Foxpro, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL to work with them.
