Social Security Administration Death Master FileObtained from the National Technical Information Service this is most complete -- but not entirely complete and definitely not error-free -- listing of all deaths in the United States since 1937.

Only IRE Members can purchase data from this site. Non-members who aggressively attempt to purchase data (i.e., try multiple times) will be blocked.
Databases in the NICAR collection are not meant to be handled by a spreadsheet manager like Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc. They are large, relational databases. We recommend using a database manager like MS Access, Foxpro, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL to work with them.
